Goals and tasks of the committee
Goal: Enhancing educational productivity by improving the performance of professors and students via constant evaluations
Tasks:
- Evaluating educational departments and giving feedback to them to rectify deficiencies
- Evaluating professors’ teaching methods and educational activities based on students’ ideas
- Evaluating the performance of the heads of the departments based on the judgements of faculty members and the school’s vice-dean for education
- Evaluating the performance of faculty members based on the explanations of the head of the department
- Evaluating each of the faculty members based on their colleagues’ ideas
- Evaluating faculty members based on their own ideas (self-evaluation)
- Analyzingand determiningvalid and reliable criteria for the purpose of evaluation
- Preparing questionnaires needed for evaluation
- Collecting professors’ CVs and updating them at the end of each academic year
- Recognizing andmanaging the school’s weaknesses, strengths, opportunities, and threats
- Evaluating educational programs on a regular basis
- Directing and supervisingthe execution of practical and theoretical tests and improving their quality
- Assessing the quality of exam questions and analyzing their validity
- Evaluating students’ educational progress
- Sending the results of the analysis of exam questions to the educational departments so that they can revise and improve the quality of questions and tests
