Our Mission & Vision
The department of health at ARUMS was established in 1995 and began its activity by accepting students in associate’s degree program for family health. The department later extended its activities by accepting students in the associate’s degree programs for environmental health in 1996 and diseases control in 1999. Regarding the appropriate conditions of the province with respect to health issues, the department was separated from the school of medicine in 2006 and continued its activities independently. Thanks to the efforts of officials of the university, the department began accepting students in discontinuous bachelor’s degree program in the fields of environmental health from September,2007 and general health from September, 2008. It also started accepting students in continuous bachelor’s degree program for environmental health and associate’s degree program for professional health from September, 2009, and continuous bachelor’s degree program for professional health from September, 2010. Finally, owing to the efforts of the officials of the institute, the department of health was promoted to the school of health in August, 2009.
Postgraduate degree programs of the school started with accepting students in master’s degree program for environmental health from February, 2013.

- Research to advance public, environmental, and professional health science and policies; and
- Services to promote the health and well-being of people both locally and nationally.
