Fonding Dean's Message
ArUMS school of health
Welcome Message by the Dean
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the most Merciful
I would like to thank Allah the Almighty for being honored with the responsibility of an academic school that is the first school of ARUMS. The School of Health not only is a health education center, but also plays a very important role in its area of coverage by improving the status of industry and public health in all aspects.
During the last decades, after the establishment of the sacred Islamic Republic of Iran and with the ceaseless dedication of the scientific society of the country, we have witnessed significant progresses in various fields, especially in healthcare. The School of Health has great and valuable experiences in medical education, production of scientific articles, and utilization of advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques. It has played an effective role in improving the quality of life, increasing life expectancy, and decreasing mortality rate in Ardabil Province (in both urban and rural areas).
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) (such as cancers, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes etc.), accidents, emerging and reemerging diseases, environmental hazards, unhealthy lifestyles, inequity in healthcare services, and inequality in health system outcome indices are new challenges for health systems in the modern world. The school of Health in its new mission is trying to improve the health status of the people by screening NCDs in Ardabil and recommending new and effective guides to decrease the incidence rate of these diseases.
The School of Health, with its extensive and strong infrastructure, offers various degree programs in public, environmental, and professional health. Furthermore, it runs research centers and referral laboratories throughout the country. The School of Health has gained extraordinary records during the past decades due to relentless activities at national, regional, and international levels. The active and continuous cooperation of the school with the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, National Health Research Institute, and WHO has been playing a prominent role in solving the public health problems of the country.
I hereby warmly appreciate and welcome the efforts and contributions of all our colleagues and honorable students.
